Our Story
Karen’s Story – A Seed of Love
For many years, Karen watched the people around her quietly carry stress, anxiety and exhaustion. This is how she turned that into a place of healing.
The Beginning
Almost nobody asked for help
Friends, family, working parents and even young students were all trying to stay strong, but very few ever found the time, the courage or the means to seek help. To many, therapy felt expensive, intimidating, or simply “not for people like us”.
Karen’s own turning point came during a difficult season in her life. Two simple things helped her find her way back to herself: the gentle scent of essential oils, which helped her breathe slowly again, and the quiet joy of blending soft pastel colours on paper, which let her express feelings she couldn’t put into words. She realised that healing doesn’t always have to happen in a clinic. Sometimes it begins with a single drop of oil, or a single stroke of colour.
The Hope
Therapy should feel warm and reachable
From that moment, Karen held on to one hope: to help more people experience therapy in a way that feels warm, affordable and approachable. That hope became AMORE, a name rooted in love.
Like the tree in our logo, AMORE grew two branches. YU Aromatherapy, where “Yu” means healing (愈), offers carefully chosen essential oils to help people calm, heal and balance their daily lives. Yen Pastel Art, named after the swallow (燕), a symbol of hope, freedom and returning home, offers gentle pastel art sessions where anyone, at any age and with any skill level, can relax, create and reconnect with themselves.
